The Carrington Hotel
15-47 Katoomba St.

(http://www.thecarrington....) this historic built 1880 hotel has friendly staff and exudes charm. it is located right on katoomba's main street and a short walk from the train station. some of the rooms have breathtaking views of the valley. the formal dining room has great meals. unfortunately, it lacks a modern elevator, and has too many steps for guests arriving with luggage. still, a great choice if you like old-world charm and a choice location over modern convenience.
